Job summary

OSI Electronics, UK in St Neots, Cambridgeshire, is seeking a Process Supervisor to direct the development and implementation of production activities in the SMT area to meet delivery goals and cost objectives.

You will lead the SMT Process Team, coordinate with support functions for materials, tooling and documentation, ensure accurate assembly and data recording, and drive improvements through lean initiatives while coaching and developing staff.

Qualifications

• Read & follow assembly documentation to produce an electronic assembly to the required standard (PCBA or Final Assembly).
• Complete all relevant paperwork & computer-based records and record material movement in the shop floor manufacturing system.
• High attention to detail and high accuracy in assembling/testing kits of parts is essential.
• Excellent material handling skills including ESD awareness.
• Demonstrate behaviour consistent with the company's Code of Ethics and Conduct and ensure staff are trained accordingly.
• Report quality problems or defects to enable corrective action and prevent recurrence.

Responsibilities

• Lead SMT production process to meet delivery requirements and production plans.
• Supervise day-to-day SMT Process Team activities for smooth operation.
• Coordinate with support functions to ensure materials, documentation and tooling are available.
• Ensure team follows assembly/test documentation and records data.
• Assist team members with building of new, unfamiliar or major changes and ensure they are fully conversant with requirements.
• Review OEE and provide root-cause analysis of performance issues.
• Implement improvements within the department with regards to performance, cost saving and lean ideologies.
• Identify, coach, motivate and develop the skills of individual staff members.
• Monitor the performance of direct reports and set SMART objectives & targets.
• Support the Production Manager with recruitment and CapEx suggestions.
