Job summary

OSI Electronics, UK, based in St Neots, Cambridgeshire, seeks a Production Manager to lead SMT, conventional assembly, inspection and test teams, driving operational excellence and cost control. Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in electronics/manufacturing.
• Excellent knowledge of production and electronic processes, with solid understanding of quality and health & safety standards.
• Coaching leadership to drive improvement and growth; experience with continuous improvement systems.
• Desirable: Lean Six Sigma (LSS) training.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage SMT, Conventional Assembly, Inspection and Test Teams.
• Ensure customer delivery schedules are achieved through effective production planning and execution.
• Coordinate with Stores and Purchasing to ensure material availability and resolve supply issues.
• Schedule production activities and communicate risks or deviations from plan.
• Develop, coach, motivate and support team members to achieve objectives.
• Create a multi-skilled workforce through training and development programmes.
• Plan resources and capacity to meet current and future demand.
• Manage labour utilization and productivity targets.
• Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement across production processes.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, company procedures and health & safety requirements.
