Job summary

OSI Systems, Inc. in the UK is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead SMT, conventional assembly, inspection and test teams, delivering production goals, quality and cost objectives in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.

You will plan schedules, manage budgets, develop skilled multi-disciplinary teams, and drive continuous improvement while upholding health & safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level with proven electronics/manufacturing experience managing large teams.
• Excellent knowledge of production processes, quality and health & safety standards.
• Strong coaching and leadership skills to drive improvement through culture and learning.
• Experience applying continuous improvement systems and tools; LSS training desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage SMT, Conventional Assembly, Inspection and Test Teams.
• Ensure customer delivery schedules are achieved via effective production planning and execution.
• Coordinate with Stores and Purchasing to ensure material availability.
• Schedule production activities and communicate risks or deviations from plan.
• Develop, coach and motivate team members; build a multi-skilled workforce.
• Plan resources and capacity to meet current and future demand.
• Manage labour utilisation and target productivity and labour cost goals.
• Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement across production processes.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, procedures, and health & safety requirements.
