Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment Agency is seeking an SMT Operator for a Poole-based electronics manufacturer. You will run Europlacer SMT placement lines on a day shift, ensuring production targets and quality standards are met.

The role is hands-on and fast-paced, with stable hours 8am-4pm and an early finish on Fridays; candidates should have recent Europlacer experience and be comfortable standing at the machines throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Recent Europlacer machine experience within an SMT production environment.
• Confidence working at pace while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
• A practical, reliable approach, with the ability to spot issues early and act quickly.
• Comfortable working in an active role, on your feet for most of the day.

Responsibilities

• Setting up, running, and monitoring Europlacer SMT placement machines to meet output and quality targets.
• Completing product changeovers efficiently and accurately to keep production on schedule.
• Carrying out basic fault-finding and escalating issues promptly to minimise downtime.
• Performing routine checks and adjustments to maintain consistent placement quality.
• Following build instructions and process documentation to ensure standards are met.
• Keeping the work area organised and supporting continuous improvement on the line.
