Job summary

MPI Limited is seeking a Permanent SMT Operator for its client based in Luton, England. In this role, you will assemble products according to defined build instructions and IPC-A-610 standards. You'll also produce PCB assemblies and ensure high-quality work that meets customer expectations. Candidates should have experience in running SMT machines and programming stencil printers. Qualifications

• Experience in running Pick and Place SMT Machines.
• Ability to program and operate Stencil Printers.
• Experience of Pre-kitting of SMT machines.

Responsibilities

• Assemble product in accordance with IPC-A-610 standards and defined build instructions.
• Produce populated PCB assemblies using the SMT line to timescales and quality levels.
• Ensure defined processes are robust, clear and concise to achieve required standards.

Skills

Experience in running Pick and Place SMT Machines

Experience of Pre-kitting of SMT machines

Ability to program and operate Stencil Printers

Proficient in load placement program and set value checks for SMT Lines

Ability to create/adjust component packages checks for SMT Lines

Carrying out maintenance on SMT line as required

The Role:

To Assemble product in accordance with defined build instructions for a variety of major OEM’s in market sectors including Automotive, Clean Energy, Communication & Broadcasting, Consumer, Defence & Aerospace, Homeland Security, IP Development Platforms, Medical, Scientific Research & Space.

Main Responsibilities:

• Assemble product in accordance with IPC-A-610 standards and defined build instructions
• Produce populated PCB assemblies using the SMT line, to timescales and quality levels determined by procedures and customer instructions every time.
• Preparation of stencils and printing equipment
• Completing batches of customer PCB assemblies, in-line inspection of quality and process consistency.
• Ensure all deviations from the standard are clearly documented on build prior to commencement of work
• Ensure defined processes are robust, clear and concise to achieve required standards
• Ensure all processes are stringently adhered to, maintaining a high-quality of work that meets if not exceeds expectation
• Notification to immediate supervision on any job you cannot achieve the quoted build times

• Experience in running Pick and Place SMT Machines
• Experience of Pre-kitting of SMT machines
• Ability to program and operate Stencil Printers
• Proficient in load placement program and set value checks for SMT Lines (Europlacer experience an advantage)
• Ability to create/ adjust component packages checks for SMT Lines (Europlacer experience an advantage)
• Carrying out maintenance on SMT line as required
