Job summary

Purbeck Electronics Ltd is a Dorset-based electronics manufacturer seeking two SMT Machine Operators to join our friendly production team in Wareham, Dorset. No prior electronics experience is required as full training is provided.

We offer a four-day week (Mon-Thu) with Fridays off and a supportive environment to learn practical manufacturing skills. Ideal candidates are local, reliable, and eager to develop; prior SMT/AOI experience is a bonus but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare SMT production lines.
• Load components and set up feeders.
• Run and monitor SMT production programmes.
• Carry out machine changeovers and strip-downs.
• Check production quality and identify issues.
• Follow production instructions and maintain records.
• Work with the team to meet quality and delivery targets.

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am – 5:15pm

No previous electronics experience required – full training provided!

Purbeck Electronics Ltd is a Dorset-based electronics manufacturing company, and we're looking for two SMT Machine Operators to join our friendly production team.

Ideally, we'd love to hear from someone local with experience in electronics manufacturing, particularly SMT machine operation or Automated Optical Inspection (AOI). However, experience isn't essential.

We're equally interested in people who have the right attitude, enjoy practical work and are willing to learn.

Location: Purbeck Electronics Ltd, Wareham, Dorset (BH20 4DY)

What will the role involve?

• Setting up and preparing SMT production lines.
• Loading components and setting up feeders.
• Running and monitoring SMT production programmes.
• Carrying out machine changeovers and strip-downs.
• Checking production quality and identifying potential issues.
• Following production instructions and maintaining accurate records.
• Working alongside our production team to meet quality and delivery targets.
