Job summary

Somervale Secondary School in Midsomer Norton, Bath and NE Somerset is recruiting a part-time School Meals Supervisory Assistant to supervise students at lunchtime and ensure safety and welfare during the mid-day break. The role requires attendance at some INSET days.

The salary is £13.28 per hour (annual £25,614) with term-time only hours, 1 hour 15 minutes per day from 12:30 to 13:45, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising children during lunch breaks.
• Ability to provide basic first aid.
• Ability to supervise in dining room and playground.
• Willingness to attend INSET days.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of students immediately before, during and after the midday meal.
• Supervision of students’ entry into the dining room.
• Assist in clearing tables and wiping down surfaces.
• Assist in setting up and removing furniture in dining areas.
• Take steps to assist students who are sick and provide minor first aid.
• Supervise students in the playground as required by the Headteacher.
