Qualifications

• Experience as an SME Account Handler within SME commercial insurance.
• Able to understand client needs and explain insurance information clearly.
• Confident building relationships with customers, colleagues and external contacts.
• Strong telephone, written and verbal communication skills.
• Organised and able to manage your own workload.
• Comfortable identifying suitable sales and cross-selling opportunities.
• A collaborative approach and an interest in developing your insurance career.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular contact with existing SME commercial clients and review insurance arrangements.
• Ask questions and assess client requirements to identify changes or gaps in cover.
• Respond to customer enquiries clearly and promptly while maintaining service standards.
• Coordinate activity with Account Executives and other handlers to deliver a consistent service.
• Identify opportunities to sell or cross-sell insurance products where appropriate.
• Keep files and policy records up to date for continuity.
• Balance workload between client contact, administration and outstanding actions.
• Follow FCA requirements and internal procedures with accurate documentation.
