NJR Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an experienced SME Account Handler to join our established national insurance broker. The role centers on servicing a portfolio of SME clients, handling renewals, and building lasting client relationships.

Hybrid working is available in Newport, Shrewsbury or Stafford, with a salary up to £40,000 depending on experience. Monday to Friday hours, with genuine opportunities for career progression in a supportive team.

• Managing and servicing a portfolio of SME commercial insurance clients.
• Handling renewals, mid-term adjustments, and day-to-day client enquiries.
• Obtaining, reviewing, and negotiating quotations with insurers to secure appropriate cover for clients.
• Building and maintaining relationships with clients, insurers, and colleagues.
• Advising clients on their insurance requirements and helping ensure needs are met.
• Maintaining accurate client records and insurance documentation.
• Collaborating with colleagues to deliver excellent service and contribute to the wider team's success.

The Role

As an SME Account Handler, you will play a key role in delivering a high standard of service to a portfolio of small and medium-sized commercial clients. You will manage their day-to-day insurance requirements, support them through the renewal process, and build lasting relationships by providing a professional, reliable service.

Your responsibilities will include:

What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak with individuals who have a background in commercial insurance and are confident managing SME clients. Just as importantly, we're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates effectively, and enjoys building strong professional relationships.

Ideally, you will have:

• -Previous experience in SME or commercial insurance account handling.
• -A sound understanding of commercial insurance products, renewals and client servicing.
• -Experience managing client relationships and handling day-to-day insurance requirements.
• -Strong communication, organisation and attention to detail.
• -A proactive, client-focused approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• -A desire to continue developing your knowledge and progress your career within the insurance industry.

Experience using Acturis or a similar broking system would be advantageous.
