Job summary

Stride Resource Management in the UK seeks a capable Team Leader or Manager to take ownership of an eight-strong SME servicing team, responsible for performance, workload, service delivery and development. You will drive coaching, set clear expectations and maintain quality standards across a broad SME portfolio.

This is a genuine leadership role with a view to shaping processes as the business grows, while remaining closely connected to the people delivering the work in a hybrid, Kent-based

Qualifications

• Strong background in commercial insurance, ideally SME broking or client servicing.
• Experience leading and coaching a small team and managing workloads.
• Understanding of FCA requirements and Consumer Duty standards.
• Knowledge of Acturis or a similar broking platform.

Responsibilities

• Leading, coaching and developing a team of eight people across a broad SME commercial portfolio.
• Taking ownership of team performance, workload, service standards and operational effectiveness.
• Setting clear expectations and helping people understand what good performance looks like.
• Managing resources and priorities so work is distributed sensibly and service levels remain consistent.
• Supporting colleagues with more difficult client, insurer and operational issues when senior input is required.
• Coaching individuals through regular feedback and development conversations, helping them build confidence and capability.
• Maintaining strong standards around quality, compliance, FCA requirements and Consumer Duty.
• Using performance information, feedback and recurring issues to identify where processes or ways of working can be improved.
• Supporting change within the SME operation and helping the team adapt as the business grows.
• Working closely with the wider SME leadership team, Broking Operations, Sales and Distribution to deliver strong client outcomes.
