Job summary

Integrate Resources is seeking experienced Materials Controllers / SMAT Operators to support the Materials Management Package on a major industrial construction project in the UK. You will record, track and report materials across site warehouses, using SMAT or equivalent systems to ensure full traceability from receipt to issuing to construction teams.

Strong attention to detail and collaboration with warehouse and procurement teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in materials control on major construction or industrial projects.
• Practical experience using SMAT or a comparable materials management system.
• Good understanding of receiving, stock control, issuing and reconciliation.
• Experience with purchase orders, delivery notes, packing lists, and requisitions.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel and electronic inventory systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and data-entry accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the SMAT materials management system with accurate records.
• Record incoming deliveries, goods receipts and stock movements.
• Verify materials against orders and delivery documentation.
• Track materials from receipt through storage, allocation and issue.
• Maintain warehouse and laydown inventory records.
• Process material requests, reservations, transfers and issues to teams.
• Identify shortages, damaged materials and discrepancies and report them.
• Coordinate with Storemen and Supervisors to reconcile stock against records.
• Support stocktaking, cycle counts and audits.
• Produce material status and availability reports.
• Ensure materials are identifiable and traceable in the system.
• Liaise with engineering, procurement, logistics and construction teams to resolve queries.
