Job summary

SubSea Craft Limited is seeking a Material Controller to manage hardware assets within the LN ERP system, ensuring accurate transaction of material for test, trials, development and production. You will balance demand between production, test and development teams while coordinating with Procurement to secure critical materials.

The role requires strong planning, BOM knowledge and ability to handle shifting priorities, with a focus on minimizing stock risks and improving material availability.

Qualifications

• Experience in material planning, production planning, and supply chain in manufacturing or engineering.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems, ideally Infor LN, managing demand and stock records.
• Understanding of BOM, demand planning, stock control, kitting and allocations.
• Ability to handle competing priorities with structured recommendations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Experience in marine, defence or complex engineering environments is advantageous.
• Relevant qualification in supply chain, logistics or production planning is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate material, demand and stock visibility.
• Plan, monitor and coordinate material availability for test, trials, development and production.
• Manage item master data and new part introduction processes.
• Collaborate with other departments to understand upcoming hardware requirements.
• Manage conflicting material priorities and escalate risks.
• Raise procurement demand where necessary with clear justification.
• Review BOMs, demand signals and stock records to identify issues and risks.
• Liaise with Procurement to expediting and prioritisation of critical materials.
• Support production kitting and material readiness reviews.
• Maintain accurate records and escalate data quality gaps.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders and ensure policy compliance.
