Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a proactive Customer Service Technician to join the Smart Water Metering team in Slough. The field-based role involves investigating and resolving meter issues, installing and replacing meters, and helping customers understand and manage their water usage.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or equivalent practical experience is essential.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and strong customer‑facing abilities are required.
• Experience in utilities or field-based roles is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve smart meter faults and issues.
• Install and replace meters to ensure reliable service.
• Visit customers to resolve complaints and service-related issues.
• Produce audit and performance reports and identify improvement opportunities.
