Job summary

Egis UK is seeking an ITS/Technology Design Engineer to support the Connect Plus Services (CPS) JV on the M25. You will assist in developing, reviewing and coordinating ITS/Technology designs for CCTV, signals, VMS, ERT and MIDAS under the guidance of senior engineers.

This role offers structured mentoring, on‑the‑job learning and progression toward professional accreditation, with opportunities to contribute to safe, cost‑effective and standards‑compliant designs across a major UK asset.

Qualifications

• Relevant vocational qualification in electrical/telecoms design
• Interest in pursuing professional registration (IET, IHE)
• Basic understanding of ITS/Technology systems and principles
• Awareness of engineering standards and guidance such as DMRB/MCHW

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of ITS/Technology designs for CCTV, signals, VMS, ERT, and MIDAS
• Contribute to drawings, documents, and technical reports
• Support design reviews to ensure standards compliance
• Participate in optioneering and basic feasibility activities
• Help compile design briefs and technical inputs for suppliers
• Monitor progress against programme and budget and report to engineers
• Support information gathering for design stages and liaise with internal teams
• Prepare technical submissions for review processes under the contract
• Contribute to quality assurance and CPS procedures
• Participate in site visits and training activities
• Capture lessons learned and suggest continuous improvement ideas
• Support Designer duties to ensure CDM compliance
• Contribute to sustainability objectives through responsible design
