Job summary

Egis is seeking a qualified professional to lead ITS/ Technology design on major UK projects. You will manage design delivery, coordinate with internal teams and external consultants, and ensure compliance with CPS and DBFO standards.

The role requires experience in ITS assets design (CCTV, signals, VMS) and knowledge of CDM, safety regulations, and life-cycle costing. Based in the UK, you will work with national stakeholders and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Relevant vocational qualifications (BEng/BSc/HNC/HND desirable).
• Membership of an appropriate professional institution (IET or IHE).
• Working towards IEng or CEng level.
• Competent in ITS/ Technology Design and Assessment.
• Knowledge of CDM and other H&S legislation.
• Excellent IT Skills and Microsoft Office is essential.
• Knowledge of design and assessment standards (DMRB / MCHW / IEC / 18th Edition IET Requirements for Electrical Installations).
• Working knowledge of ITS/ Technology equipment (CCTV, signals, VMS, ERT, MIDAS).

Responsibilities

• Complete Technology design for ITS assets (CCTV, signals, VMS, ERT, MIDAS) on time and to budget.
• Produce, check and certify designs, documents and reports for submission.
• Assist the wider Design Team in Improvement and Renewal Schemes.
• Deliver agreed outcomes on time and to budget to technical standards and legal requirements.
• In-house design of selected technology packages.
• Optioneering and feasibility studies with whole life costing.
• Prepare briefs with design suppliers for scope and budget.
• Contribute to the Design Review Process (Certification).
• Ensure learning and best practice are captured across the business.
