Job summary

Egis is delivering major UK infrastructure projects, including the M25 JV Connect Plus Services. We are seeking a Senior ITS/ Technology Design Engineer to lead the design and management of ITS systems, coordinate with internal teams and external consultants, and ensure compliant, cost‑effective solutions for critical highway assets.

You will review, certify and drive design delivery within CPS quality standards, engaging with stakeholders and maintaining programme alignment while supporting

Qualifications

• Relevant vocational qualifications in engineering or similar.
• Member of a professional institution (IET or IHE).
• Working towards IEng or CEng level is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead ITS/ Technology design schemes (CCTV, signals, VMS, ERT, MIDAS) to time and budget.
• Certify designs and deliverables from internal and external designers for NH submission.
• Support wider Design Team in renewal and improvement schemes.
• Ensure designs meet DBFO and CPS quality standards and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with Project Manager for reviews and sign‑off.
• Contribute to cost control, budget, and procurement with suppliers.
