A leading engineering firm in the UK seeks a Control Systems Engineer to develop PLC-based control systems for smart grid applications. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in control systems engineering and proficiency with PLC platforms. You will work on significant infrastructure projects encompassing the full lifecycle from design to commissioning. Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in control systems engineering, PLC programming, or automation design.
- Proficiency with major PLC platforms (e.g. Schneider, Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
- Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols and networked control systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop PLC‑based control systems for smart grid applications.
- Produce detailed hardware designs including panel layouts and schematics.
- Develop PLC programs and integrate with SCADA platforms.
