Job summary
A leading engineering company in the UK seeks a Control Systems Engineer to design and develop PLC-based control systems for smart grid applications. The role requires expertise in PLC programming, panel design, and hardware specification. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years' experience in control systems engineering. Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in control systems engineering, PLC programming, or automation design.
- Competence with panel design and electrical schematics.
- Experience with real-time data acquisition systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop PLC-based control systems for smart grid applications.
- Produce detailed hardware designs and wiring schematics.
- Develop PLC programs and integrate with SCADA platforms.
Skills
PLC programming expertise
Control panel design skills
Proficiency in EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical
Understanding of industrial communication protocols
Experience with SCADA platforms
System commissioning
Education
Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
HNC/HND in related discipline
