Essential qualifications include 3–5 years in BMS estimation, with experience interpreting technical drawings and knowledge of estimation methodologies.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in an estimation role related to Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Experience interpreting detailed technical drawings, schematics, and project specifications.
• Formal training or certification in estimation methodologies and processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for smart building technology systems, including labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Review project specifications, drawings, and documentation to fully understand scope and inform accurate costing.
• Source, review, and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Develop clear, comprehensive bid proposals addressing all client requirements.
• Identify risks and propose practical strategies to mitigate them.
• Engage with clients to clarify project details, discuss estimates, and resolve queries.
• Maintain thorough records of estimates, bid proposals, revisions, and related correspondence.
• Coordinate with project managers, design engineers, consultants, and stakeholders to align estimates with ongoing activities.
