Qualifications

• Role involves surveying and inspecting small/non-convention vessels to ensure compliance with UK and international standards.
• Issuing certification and providing expert technical advice to vessel owners and industry colleagues.
• Contributing to a consistent, high-quality survey and inspection service across MCA.

Responsibilities

• Mentor Marine Surveyor colleagues on MCA Survey and Inspection activities to ensure consistency with MCA standards.
• Lead surveys in non-complex cases and issue statutory certificates for small vessels.
• Inspect vessels and port installations to ensure compliance with international conventions and UK requirements.
• Provide technical advice to industry and the public and support a first-class service to customers and stakeholders.
