Government Recruitment Service in Coleraine is advertising a permanent Small Craft Surveyor position. You will survey and inspect small and non-convention vessels to ensure compliance with UK and international safety, security and environmental standards, issuing certification and advising vessel owners and industry colleagues.

Mansioni

• Training/Mentoring Marine Surveyor colleagues on MCA S&I activities to ensure consistency with MCA standards.
• Lead surveyor in non-complex cases, issue statutory certificates, advise the public and colleagues, approve ship plans, investigate complaints, witness stability measurements.
• Carry out surveys of small/non-conventional vessels to ensure compliance with UK and international safety and environmental standards.
• Inspect small/non-convention vessels and port installations to ensure compliance with international conventions and UK requirements.
• Provide industry and public advice per MCA policies and deliver first-class survey and inspection service with a customer-focused approach.
• Assist the Technical Manager with training records and maintain competence and impartiality through MCA reviews.
