IDEX Consulting Ltd in Perth, Scotland, is seeking an experienced Commercial Account Handler to manage a portfolio of Small Business policies in a fast-paced, e-trade driven environment. You will work closely with clients and insurers, identify cross-selling opportunities and maintain compliant records with strong attention to detail.

The role offers hybrid working after probation (3 days in the office, 2 days from home) with 5% pension, generous holiday, and ongoing training to develop

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial insurance broking environment.
• Experience with e-trade insurance products.
• Strong administration skills with high attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of FCA compliance.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent organisation and time management.
• Good IT skills and software literacy.
• Acturis experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

An established insurance broker is looking to strengthen its Small Business team with an experienced Commercial Account Handler.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, high-volume environment and has experience working with e-trade insurance products.

The role is heavily e-trade and system-driven, giving you responsibility for a high volume of Small Business policies while working closely with clients and insurers.

The role

You’ll be responsible for managing existing Small Business policies, ensuring clients receive a professional and efficient service. You’ll also have the opportunity to identify cross-selling opportunities and develop your insurance knowledge within a supportive and growing team.

Key responsibilities

• Managing existing Small Business insurance policies
• Dealing with clients and insurers on a day-to-day basis
• Advising clients on existing insurance products
• Completing premium finance arrangements
• Identifying cross-selling opportunities
• Maintaining accurate and compliant records
• Ensuring FCA and company procedures are followed
• Building strong client relationships
• Managing your own workload and meeting deadlines
• Taking part in ongoing training and development

About you

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience in a commercial insurance broking environment
• Experience working with e-trade insurance products
