Job summary
Compass Associates is partnering with a specialist provider in Wales to recruit a Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) for a specialist school near New Radnor, North Wales. The role combines direct clinical intervention with consultation, staff training and multidisciplinary work to embed effective communication strategies in daily education and care for pupils with autism and learning needs.
The post is full-time Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours, term-time only (41 weeks per year), with remote
Qualifications
- HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist.
- 2–3 years post-qualification experience or more.
- Experience delivering therapy to children and young people.
- Ability to advise, guide and train wider staff teams.
- Experience with AAC / high-tech AAC or Makaton is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct SLT intervention to pupils with autism and learning needs.
- Offer consultation and staff development within the school teams.
- Lead training and supervision across multidisciplinary staff.
- Collaborate with OT, psychology, education and care professionals.
- Support remote supervision and mentoring for apprentices.
