Job summary

Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Speech and Language Therapist. The post supports 0-19 services in South Tyneside, promoting early language development and school readiness through integrated pathways and training for colleagues and partners.

You will deliver evidence-based assessments/interventions, contribute to family hub innovations, and share specialist knowledge of SLCN with a range of stakeholders within the footprint.

Qualifications

• Graduate with recognised qualification in speech and language therapy.
• Membership of HCPC.
• Registered Member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
• Experience in schools, pre-school settings and local authority Children Centre's with SLCN.
• Experience designing and delivering training around SLCN to parents and professionals.
• Knowledge of RCSLT codes or practice and RCSLT guidelines.
• Understanding of Early Language Intervention Measure and ASQ tool.
• Awareness of the Healthy Child Programme.

Responsibilities

• Support Speech and Language Services to children in the South Tyneside footprint.
• Collaborate with 0-19 service and multi-agency partners to develop family hub innovations.
• Promote evidence-based assessments and interventions considering Home Learning Environment.
• Develop and deliver training to the service and partner agencies.
• Promote best practice interventions to support early language development via training and supervision.

Education

Graduate with recognised qualification in speech and language therapy
