Job summary

Joseph Gallagher Group in Wanlip (near Leicester) seeks an experienced Slinger/Signaller for lifting operations on major civil engineering projects. The role requires attaching/detaching loads, directing movements with hand signals, and strictly following the lifting plan and safety procedures.

Applicants should hold Blue CPCS A40 (Slinger) and have significant field experience; an in-date Safety Critical Medical is desirable. References will be required.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for attaching and detaching the loads from the lifting equipment
• Ensuring correct use of lifting accessories and equipment
• Directing safe movement of equipment and load using a radio or hand signals
• Follow the lifting plan set out and immediately relay any concerns to the Crane Supervisor
• Carry out checks on all relevant lifting equipment before the work begins
• Always follow Health and Safety procedures

• In-date Safety Critical Medical (Desirable)
• Experience
• Must have significant experience as Slinger/Signaller
