Job summary

Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a Sleep Technologist Apprentice to train in setting up and operating Polysomnographic equipment for diagnosing sleep disorders. You will learn to score monitored parameters, prepare Polysomnographic reports, and uphold life-saving measures under supervision of the Center for Sleep Disorders leadership.

Qualifications

  • Completion of BRPT/AASM A-Step program within 3 years.
  • Maintains continuing education units as required.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Job description

Under general supervision of the Center for Sleep Disorders leadership, the Sleep Technologist Apprentice will be trained for setting up and operating Polysomnographic equipment to be utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep related disorders. In addition, the technologist will be trained to have a thorough understanding of all monitored parameters which are utilized in the computer scoring and preparation of Polysomnographic reports. Ability to institute and maintain life saving measures is required.

Summary

Minimum Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates Degree in the Health Sciences required.
Minimum Work Experience
  • Customer service experience required.
  • Related work experience aligned with degree preferred
Required Licenses/Certifications
  • Completion of all 23 Modules of Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (BRPT)/ AASM A-Step Program to be able to take the Registry for Polysomnography within 3 years from date of hire.
  • Maintains continuing education units as required by PSGT Certification.
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association.

Pay Range: $19.97 - $29.09
