Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Specialist SLD Teacher in Solihull to work with children and young people with EHCPs for SLD and PMLD, delivering personalised, engaging lessons tailored to each pupil’s needs.

The role requires planning differentiated lessons, implementing IEP targets, supporting communication, sensory, independence and social skills, and working closely with teaching assistants, therapists, families and other professionals to create a safe, inclusive learning

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent required.
• Experience with SLD, PMLD or complex additional needs.
• Strong understanding of EHCPs and personalised learning.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and classroom management.
• Patient, flexible and nurturing approach for diverse needs.

Responsibilities

Working pattern: Full-time, 5 days per week

Prospero are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialist Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) Teacher to work with children and young people with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

The successful candidate will support pupils with complex learning needs, delivering personalised, engaging and inclusive learning experiences tailored to each child's individual abilities, needs and EHCP outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SLD and PMLD.
• Implement individual education plans and EHCP targets.
• Support pupils' communication, sensory development, independence and social skills.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, families and other professionals.
