Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Specialist SLD Teacher to join our educational team in Solihull. You will deliver personalised lessons for pupils with SLD/PMLD, under EHCP outcomes, within a supportive environment.

This full-time role requires QTS or equivalent and experience with EHCPs, with a patient, flexible approach to diverse educational needs. Collaborative teamwork with TAs, families and professionals is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
• Experience with children with SLD, PMLD or complex needs.
• Strong understanding of EHCPs and personalised learning approaches.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and classroom management.

Responsabilités

Specialist SLD Teacher Solihull

Location: Solihull, West Midlands

Working pattern: Full-time, 5 days per week

Prospero are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialist SEN Teacher to work with children and young people with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

The successful candidate will support pupils with complex learning needs, delivering personalised, engaging and inclusive learning experiences tailored to each child's individual abilities, needs and EHCP outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to pupils PMLD from age 5- 8.


• Implement individual education plans and EHCP targets.


• Support pupils' communication, sensory development, independence and social skills.


• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, families and other professionals.


• Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.


• Monitor pupils' progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet their individual needs.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.


• Experience working with children with SLD, PMLD or complex additional needs.


• A strong understanding of EHCPs and personalised learning approaches.


• Excellent communication, teamwork and classroom management skills.


• A patient, flexible and nurturing approach to supporting pupils with diverse needs.
