Job summary

Panda is seeking a Skip and RoRo Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery of our skip and RoRo services. You will manage drivers, planning and fleet resources to ensure timely, safe, and compliant deliveries, exchanges and collections while taking responsibility for operational P&L and cost control.

As a visible leader, you’ll set clear standards, drive performance, and maintain strong collaboration with Sales, Customer Service and suppliers to resolve issues and improve service levels

Qualifications

• Experience managing skip and RoRo operations.
• Hold a Transport Manager CPC and be named on the Licence.
• Strong knowledge of transport legislation, drivers’ hours and fleet compliance.
• Experience leading drivers and operational teams and managing performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations: oversee skip and RoRo deliveries, exchanges and collections to service levels.
• Match drivers, vehicles and container availability to demand and priorities.
• Manage the operational P&L, budgets and costs to improve profitability.
• Lead and develop drivers and staff with a focus on safety and conduct.
• Act as named Transport Manager on the Operator’s Licence and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain safety, waste compliance and safe loading/collection of skips and RoRo containers.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance and asset readiness with workshops and compliance teams.
• Own issue resolution for missed collections and delays with Sales and Customer Service.
• Track KPIs to drive planning improvements in service, cost, and performance.
