Job summary

Panda is seeking an experienced Skip and RoRo Operations Manager to lead day-to-day delivery of our skip and RoRo services in Leeds. You will manage drivers, transport planning and fleet resources to deliver safe, efficient and reliable service, while taking ownership of the operational P&L and cost controls.

You will set clear standards, monitor performance and resolve issues before they affect service. A CPC Transport Manager and a full UK driving licence are essential, with strong knowledge

Qualifications

• Experience managing skip and RoRo operations and delivering on service standards.
• Holder of Transport Manager CPC and willingness to be named on the Operator's Licence.
• Experience with budgeting, cost control and improving profitability in a transport operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily skip and RoRo deliveries, exchanges, and collections to plan and meet service levels.
• Match drivers, vehicles and container availability to demand under changing priorities.
• Oversee operational P&L, budgets, costs, and productivity improvements.
• Develop and manage drivers and staff with clear safety, conduct, attendance and performance expectations.
• Act as named Transport Manager on the company Licence and ensure compliance with drivers’ hours and legislation.
• Maintain high health, safety and waste compliance and ensure safe loading and container operations.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance, inspections and defect resolution with workshops and compliance teams.
• Handle missed collections and customer escalations, coordinating with Sales and Customer Service.
