Job summary

Chelmsford College is launching a new Skills Hub in the heart of Chelmsford to create a welcoming, accessible space for adults to learn. The Hub will run Skills Bootcamps, SWAPs and other adult learning programmes, supporting learners, employers and community partners.

As Skills Hub Manager you’ll oversee daily operations, learner onboarding, safeguarding and safety, and work with colleagues to drive ongoing development and success of the Hub.

Qualifications

• Experience in further education, adult learning or employability is desirable.
• First Aid training can be provided.
• Enhanced DBS check required prior to appointment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operation of the Skills Hub.
• Coordinate administration, facilities and room bookings.
• Support the delivery of adult learning programmes, including Skills Bootcamps and SWAPs.
• Support learner onboarding, attendance, engagement and wellbeing.
• Oversee safeguarding, welfare, health and safety, and first aid arrangements.
• Handle concerns and complaints professionally and confidently.
• Liaise with internal departments and external partners.
• Support employer engagement, recruitment activities and community events.
• Help drive the ongoing development and success of the Skills Hub.
