Job summary

Training 2000, in partnership with Blackburn College, is recruiting two Skills Development Coaches specialising in mechatronics to join our Engineering team at the Furthergate Business Park, Blackburn. You will manage a caseload of Engineering Apprentices throughout their journey from onboarding through End Point Assessment.

You will provide expert guidance, coaching and assessment, helping apprentices develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed for successful careers while building

Qualifications

  • Level 2 Qualification in Literacy, Numeracy and ICT.
  • Level 3 Engineering Qualification in a relevant subject area.
  • Knowledge of theory and practical skills in engineering equipment, machinery and materials.
  • Strong communication, planning and organisational skills.
  • Relevant industry experience in mechatronics (mechanical and/or electrical).
  • The ability to motivate, support and inspire learners from diverse backgrounds.
  • A learner-focused approach with a commitment to delivering an exceptional apprenticeship experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of Engineering Apprentices from onboarding through to End Point Assessment (EPA).
  • Provide expert guidance, coaching, assessment and support to learners.
  • Build strong relationships with employers across the region.
  • Support learners to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed for successful careers.

About the Role

We have the opportunity for two Skills Development Coaches with a specialism in mechatronics to join our team to manage a caseload of Engineering Apprentices throughout their apprenticeship journey, from onboarding through to End Point Assessment (EPA).

You will provide expert guidance, coaching, assessment and support, helping apprentices develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours they need to succeed in their careers while building strong relationships with employers across the region.

You will need to have:

  • Level 2 Qualification in Literacy, Numeracy and ICT
