Job summary

Training 2000, in partnership with Blackburn College, is recruiting two Skills Development Coaches (Mechatronics) based at the Furthergate Business Park, Blackburn. You will support engineering apprentices from onboarding through EPA, coaching and assessing progress while liaising with local employers.

The role combines mentorship with technical education, rewarding those who are passionate about helping learners succeed and progress in their careers.

Qualifications

• Level 2 literacy, numeracy and ICT required.
• Level 3 engineering qualification required.
• Knowledge of theory and practical skills in engineering equipment, machinery and materials.
• Strong communication, planning and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of Engineering Apprentices from onboarding to End Point Assessment (EPA).
• Provide expert guidance, coaching, assessment and support to learners.
• Build strong relationships with employers across the region.

As we continue to invest in our facilities, expertise and apprenticeship provision, we are looking for a motivated Skills Development Coach to join our Engineering team based at the Furthergate Business Park, Harwood Street, Blackburn.

About the Role

We have the opportunity for two Skills Development Coaches with a specialism in mechatronics to join our team to manage a caseload of Engineering Apprentices throughout their apprenticeship journey, from onboarding through to End Point Assessment (EPA).

You will provide expert guidance, coaching, assessment and support, helping apprentices develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours they need to succeed in their careers while building strong relationships with employers across the region.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who combines industry expertise with a commitment to learner success.

You will need to have:

• Level 2 Qualification in Literacy, Numeracy and ICT
• Level 3 Engineering Qualification in a relevant subject area
• Knowledge of theory and practical skills in engineering equipment, machinery and materials Strong communication, planning and organisational skills.
• Relevant industry experience in mechatronics (mechanical and/or electrical).
• The ability to motivate, support and inspire learners from diverse backgrounds.
• A learner-focused approach with a commitment to delivering an exceptional apprenticeship experience.
