Job summary

Training 2000, in partnership with Blackburn College, is recruiting two Skills Development Coaches with a mechatronics specialism to support Engineering Apprentices at the Furthergate site in Blackburn.

You will coach and assess apprentices from onboarding to End Point Assessment, building strong relationships with employers and guiding learners to develop knowledge, skills and behaviours for successful careers.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Qualification in Literacy, Numeracy and ICT.
• Level 3 Engineering Qualification in a relevant subject area.
• Knowledge of theory and practical skills in engineering equipment, machinery and materials.
• Strong communication, planning and organisational skills.
• Relevant industry experience in mechatronics (mechanical and/or electrical).
• Learner-focused approach with a commitment to delivering apprenticeship experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of Engineering Apprentices from onboarding to End Point Assessment (EPA).
• Provide expert guidance, coaching, assessment and support to learners.
• Build strong relationships with employers across the region to support apprenticeship delivery.
• Mentor and inspire learners to develop career-ready knowledge, skills and behaviours.

As we continue to invest in our facilities, expertise and apprenticeship provision, we are looking for a motivated Skills Development Coach to join our Engineering team based at the Furthergate Business Park, Harwood Street, Blackburn.

About the Role

We have the opportunity for two Skills Development Coaches with a specialism in mechatronics to join our team to manage a caseload of Engineering Apprentices throughout their apprenticeship journey, from onboarding through to End Point Assessment (EPA).

You will provide expert guidance, coaching, assessment and support, helping apprentices develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours they need to succeed in their careers while building strong relationships with employers across the region.
