Job summary

Royal Mencap Society is seeking dedicated Skills Coaches to support learners with SEND in our Birmingham service. The role covers job coaching in workplaces and classroom support to develop employability skills, aiming for sustained paid employment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to achieve targets.
• Strong understanding of safe working practices.
• A good knowledge of the Educational and SEN sectors.
• GCSE English & Maths (A-C/9-4 or equivalent).
• Excellent communication and record-keeping abilities.
• Valid UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle for frequent travel within the wider Birmingham area.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1-1 job coaching and workplace support to learners.
• Help learners develop employability skills and English/Math learning in the workplace.
• Support classroom-based learning and progression toward sustained paid employment.
