Job summary

Mencap Training Academy in Worcester is seeking dedicated Skills Coaches to support learners with SEND on permanent basis. You will provide 1-1 job coaching, workplace employability skills, and classroom support to help learners progress toward sustained paid employment.

The role focuses on developing English and Maths skills in real-work environments, supporting progression, and contributing to successful outcomes for learners in our Worcester service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience supporting individuals.
• Ability to achieve targets.
• Strong understanding of safe working practices.
• Good knowledge of the Educational and SEN sectors.
• GCSE English & Maths (A-C/9-4 or equivalent).
• Proficient ICT skills.
• Excellent communication and record-keeping abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1-1 job coaching and work with learners to develop employability skills.

We're seeking a dedicated and self-motivated Skills Coaches (job coaching & classroom support) to join our dynamic team in our Worcester Service on a permanent basis. In this crucial role, you'll be the driving force behind our employability programs, including Supported Internships, providing tailored support to learners with SEND. Do you want to see what we do? If so.

You will be accountable for learner progression in the workplace and achieving outcomes for the learner. You will deliver support in various ways; 1-1 job coaching, working with learners to develop employability skills and embed English and Math learning in the workplace. You will also support learning during classroom settings. The role aims to support people to learn the skills they need to go on and achieve sustained paid employment.

What You'll Need (Essential)
