Job summary

Arriva Yorkshire Limited is seeking an experienced PSV Mechanic to join our Castleford and Selby depots. You will service and repair PSV vehicles to Arriva and DVSA standards, with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement.

The role includes MOT preparation, maintenance campaigns, and roadside breakdown attendance. Shift work (early/late/weekends) applies. A PCV license is desirable; NVQ Level 3 and IRTEC accreditation are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of PSV/HGV maintenance with recognised qualifications (e.g. Level 3 NVQ).
• Ability to work safely and unsupervised to pre-set standards.
• Electrical knowledge desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards.
• Continuous improvement of vehicle standards.
• MOT preparation and planned maintenance campaigns.
• Vehicle fault diagnosis to Arriva standards (higher than DVSA).
• Attending roadside breakdowns.
• Shift Work (Earlies / Lates / Weekends 5 out of 7).
