On behalf of Rolls-Royce, AMS are currently recruiting for a number of Skilled Machinists positions for their Engine Overhaul Services business in Derby.

TheseSkilled Machinist positions are available on initial12-monthcontracts based on theirDerbysite with a number of shift patterns available.

As a Skilled Machinist, you will be responsible for delivering against weekly targets to meet customer requirements. You will also work with cross functional teams to implement and sustain improvement activities within our manufacturing environment.

As a Skilled CNC Machinist, you will be doing:

• Work to Rolls-Royce’s Technical Instructions and program manuals to deliver consistent, high-quality machining across a variety of different components and product families.
• Operate a variety of Inspection equipment, including machine probing, micrometres, plug gauges.
• Interpretation of manufacturing drawings, customer drawings and written specifications.
• Assessment of whether the quality of components produced within the facility meets the required standards.

Who we are looking for:

• Completed an advanced modern engineering apprenticeship* and an NVQ/SVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in 3 and 5-axis grinding, milling and turning.
• Previous experience with aerospace components would be an advantage.
• Clear and demonstrated understanding of drawing interpretation, calibration, dimensional and visual inspection.
• Must be able to provide all certifications before interview.
