Job description

Skilled Joiner (Cabinetry)

Location: Ilkley

Salary: £13 - £16 per hour, dependant on experience

Hours: Monday-Thursday: 7am-4pm, Friday: 7am-3pm

The Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Joiner to join their team.

As a Joiner, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling wooden structures, such as cabinets and furniture as well as using machinery within the warehouse.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with hand and power tools, as well as the ability to read and interpret drawings. They are ideally looking for someone who has general workshop skills and who has previous experience working with a spindle moulder machine and sliding table saw.

Key Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and shape wood pieces according to specifications
• Assemble wooden components using screws, nails, or adhesives
• Install hardware, such as hinges and handles
• Sand and finish surfaces to ensure smoothness
• Repair or replace damaged wooden structures
• Use Spindle Moulder Machine & Sliding Table Saw to complete projects
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and painters, to complete projects
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area

• Any overtime paid at time and half for first 5 hours weekly. Anything after 5 hours is paid at double time.
