Job summary

Arriva London North Limited is seeking a skilled Engineer to maintain and repair a fleet of buses across London. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance to high standards, diagnose faults and ensure compliance with Arriva and DVSA requirements.

The role includes MOT support, preventative campaigns, and ongoing training such as High Voltage Level 1‑4/EV training, with flexible shift patterns to suit your lifestyle.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in PSV, HGV, or light vehicle maintenance.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience considered if not qualified.
• Must pass PCV pre-employment medical and commitments to quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis and reactive repairs on buses.
• Ensure servicing, inspections and repairs meet Arriva and DVSA standards.
• Assist with MOT preparation and maintenance campaigns.
• Improve bus reliability through monitoring, maintenance and repair.
• Discuss and adapt flexible shift patterns.

What We’re Looking For

• Relevant Qualifications: PSV, HGV, or light vehicle maintenance and repair (minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent). We’ll also consider candidates with 5+ years of relevant hands‑on experience if you’re not formally qualified.
• Full UK Driving License: Must have a valid UK driving license with no more than 6 points.
• PCV License: A PCV license is preferred, or you must be willing to obtain one.
• Medical Fitness: Ability to pass a PCV pre‑employment medical.
• Commitment to Quality: A passion for delivering safe, reliable, and high‑quality maintenance work.

Your Role
