Job summary

Arriva Merseyside Limited in Speke is hiring a Multiskilled Shift Engineer (PSV Mechanic) to maintain and service our modern North West bus fleet. You’ll perform inspections, repairs, and diagnostics to Arriva and DVSA standards, with a focus on reliability and safety during 38-hour weeks on a rotating shift pattern.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or higher in PSV, HGV or equivalent international qualification or 5 years' hands-on vehicle experience.
• Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points).
• Fit to pass a PCV pre-employment medical.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards.
• Improve vehicle reliability through proactive and reactive servicing.
• Perform MOT prep, preventative maintenance, and quality checks.
• Carry out diagnostic fault finding and implement lasting repairs.
• Work a variety of shift patterns.

Exciting Opportunity: Multiskilled Shift Engineer – Speke Shift: Monday to Friday. Working Hours: 16:15 - 00:00 lates , 06:00 - 14:00 earlies. 2 week rota Contracted hours: 38 Hours a week. Your Role: As a PSV Mechanic, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics to our commercial bus fleet—meeting the strict standards of both Arriva and the DVSA (Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency).

What We’re Looking For
