Job summary
ABP UK in Kingswinford is recruiting for permanent and temporary skilled and semi-skilled butchers to join the on-site team. Working Monday to Friday 6:00 am - 4:00 pm with potential extra hours, you will bone out, trim, and breakdown lamb cuts to meet specifications while maximizing yield and minimising waste.
PPE is provided and immediate start is available. You will operate processing equipment safely and work to health, safety and food safety standards, maintaining traceability and product
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food production environment is essential.
- Ability to demonstrate knife skills or willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Bone out and trim products to meet customer/company specifications while maximising yield and minimising waste.
- Breakdown lamb cuts to customer/company specification.
- Carry out tasks in accordance with health and safety and food safety policies.
- Drive and deliver processing efficiency through correct equipment operation.
- Follow traceability processes and ensure product and labelling integrity at all times.
- Work within the butchery team to complete daily planning orders to a high standard.
- Applicants will be invited on site for a block test as part of the recruitment process.
