Job summary

Thorpe St Andrew School and Sixth Form is seeking a committed Sixth Form - BEST Assistant (Support Co-ordinator) to join our inclusive secondary school. You will help promote excellent behaviour, attendance and engagement among Sixth Form students while supporting their goals for education and employment.

The role requires strong communication, safeguarding awareness and the ability to work with staff, parents and carers in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

Has experience of working with young people in a secondary setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build professional relationships with students.
Ability to establish clear boundaries and apply expectations consistently.
Calm, resilient and well organised with initiative.
Understanding safeguarding, wellbeing, inclusion and equality of opportunity.
Able to work as part of a team and independently.

Responsibilities

Promote high standards of behaviour, attendance, punctuality and engagement among Sixth Form students.
Support students to take responsibility for actions and progress to further education or employment.
Build positive relationships with young people and collaborate with staff, parents and carers.
Support the pastoral and Sixth Form team in delivering a positive Sixth Form experience.
