Job summary

Great Western Academy is seeking a Sixth Form Pastoral Assistant to provide admin and pastoral support to our Sixth Form students. The role focuses on maximising academic, emotional, and social learning, while building strong relationships with students and families.

The successful candidate will bring experience with young people and strong organisational and IT skills, supporting the Sixth Form team in delivering high-quality pastoral care.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people, ideally within a school, college or youth setting.
• Strong pastoral skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with students.
• Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to work with students, parents, staff and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide admin and pastoral support to Sixth Form students to maximise learning academically, emotionally and socially.
• Be a source of advice and guidance for students and parents in the Sixth Form.
• Support Sixth Form tutors and promote the Post 16 offer at Great Western Academy.
