Job summary

Gist Limited, part of the M&S Group, is launching a state-of-the-art distribution centre in Avonmouth. We seek a Change Manager to drive large-scale transformation in FMCG/logistics, translating data into strategic decisions and delivering operational improvements.

You will report to the General Manager and lead safety, people engagement, and process optimisation initiatives across the site, ensuring collaborative, inclusive culture and stakeholder alignment.

Qualifications

• Extensive Change Management and Continuous Improvement experience within FMCG, logistics, or distribution.
• Track record leading large-scale transformation projects with measurable improvements.
• Experience supporting a new site opening, warehouse start-up, or major site transition.
• Strong ability to analyse and translate data into actionable insights for decisions.
• Excellent stakeholder management at all levels; collaborative leadership.

Responsibilities

• Champion the safety agenda daily and promote safe operating standards.
• Ensure effective communication across management and site colleagues.
• Lead improvement through regular cross-functional engagement sessions.
• Collaborate with warehouse optimization to deliver change effectively.
• Identify areas of improvement and drive measurable results.
• Plan and organise projects with people and safety at the heart of decisions.
• Share best practice with other sites and drive standardized processes.
