Job summary

Ibstock Plc in Wakefield is seeking a Technical Manager to lead a multi-skilled team across our Nostell Factory. You will champion health and safety, drive continuous improvement and ensure cost-efficient production of our brick and ceramic products.

As the Technical Manager, you will optimise process performance, manage budgets, develop quality and sustainability plans, and collaborate with group support teams on factory improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of H&S, Quality, sustainability and employment law; NEBOSH/IOSH preferred.
• Experience with ISO 9001 or other quality accreditation.
• Strong operational leadership with CI deployment experience.
• Experience in budgeting and capital expenditure planning.
• Excellent communication and IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multi-skilled team with a focus on H&S and quality.
• Drive CI initiatives to improve performance and reduce costs.
• Manage budgets and supplier relationships.
• Oversee kiln and dryer operations and manufacturing processes.
• Implement 5S standards and CI tools.
