Job summary

Wates Group is seeking a Site Surveyor for our Responsive Division, based at the Streatham office. The role covers repairs and voids contracts, producing commercial outputs, cost control, and liaising with client representatives to ensure contractual service standards are met.

The successful candidate will have strong commercial acumen, experience in value recovery, cost control, and cash flow management, and will work across office, site, and some home-based settings.

The Vacancy

WPS have an opportunity for a Site Surveyor to join our team within the Responsive Division. You’ll be based out of our Streatham office, working on our repairs and voids contracts. This role focuses on producing commercial outputs, monitoring cost control, and liaising with client representatives to ensure compliance with contractual service standards —all to help the company operate efficiently and profitably.

We’re looking for someone with financial and commercial awareness and a strong commitment to customer-centred service.

To succeed, you’ll need relevant commercial skills and experience, including the ability to maximise value recovery, control costs, and manage cash flow effectively. You should also be confident using financial reports and software.

You’ll be a strong communicator, able to build relationships with clients, Project Surveyors, internal teams, and the supply chain. The role involves working between office, site, and some home working.
