Job summary

STRABAG in Bolton is seeking a site leadership professional to manage and mentor the on-site team, ensuring work contribution aligns with contract requirements and programme targets.

You will review subcontractor contracts, develop job-specific conditions and manage cost forecasts with the Construction Manager. A strong focus on QA, safety, and documentation is essential as the project moves to Ribble Valley from August 2026.

Qualifications

• HND/Degree in Engineering Discipline required.
• CSCS Card and SMSTS Card are mandatory.
• Minimum 3 years' construction management experience.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage, supervise, train and mentor the site team to optimise work contribution.
• Review contracts and develop design, programme and forecast costs with the Construction Manager and Subcontractors.
• Develop detailed site programmes and assess productivity weekly.
• Manage subcontractors' contracts and accounts with the Construction Manager.
• Requisition resources to keep the construction programme on track.
• Communicate non-conformances to QA/QS and client/designer.
• Maintain records of resources, diary entries and variations.
• Review and adhere to inspection plans, risk assessments and method statements.
• Keep up to date with professional developments and project policies.
