Job summary

PPM Recruitment is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor for flat/industrial roofing in Basildon and surrounding Essex areas. Lead roofing gangs, organise on-site activities, and ensure delivery to programme with safety at the forefront.

The ideal candidate will have strong flat roofing knowledge, familiarity with Sika systems, and a hands-on leadership style. Driving licence and mobility across Essex are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within industrial and flat roofing.
• Experience with Sika roofing systems is highly desirable.
• Previous roles as Working Foreman or Roofing Supervisor or similar.
• Strong knowledge of flat and industrial roofing systems.
• Confident reading of technical drawings and construction details.
• Hands-on leader able to set an example on site.
• Reliable, organised and capable of working independently.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Able to manage labour, productivity and tight programmes.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Based in or around Basildon, Essex, with travel across Essex.

Responsibilities

• Manage roofing gangs and subcontractors on site.

• Monitor progress against project programmes and deadlines.
• Ensure roofing works are completed to a high standard and specification.
• Carry out quality inspections, snagging and remedial works.
• Coordinate materials, plant, MEWPs and deliveries.
• Liaise with site management, clients and other trades.
• Attend site meetings where required.
• Monitor and maintain high health and safety standards.
• Keep accurate records of labour, productivity and completed works.
• Assist on the tools and with roofing installation works when necessary.

Site Supervisor -Flat Roofing

Location: Basildon and surrounding Essex areas

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

An established and growing roofing contractor is looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to join their South East team.

This is a role for someone with strong experience in industrial and flat roofing and cladding, including Sika roofing systems, who can confidently lead roofing gangs, organise site activities and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.

You will be expected to lead from the front, managing operatives on site with roofing works when required.

• Willingness to travel across Essex and surrounding areas, with occasional work away when required.

Desirable Qualifications

• SSSTS or SMSTS.
• CSCS Card.
• IPAF.
• PASMA.
• First Aid.
