Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced NEC4 ECC Site Supervisor to join the Water Catchment Management team in the UK. You will represent the client on site, ensuring contractors follow NEC4 ECC contracts, designs, quality standards, and health and safety requirements.

Work includes monitoring progress, inspecting workmanship, and promoting a culture of safety while coordinating with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of NEC ECC contracts (preferably NEC4).
• Experience as Site Supervisor on civil infrastructure or environmental projects (Environment Agency preferred).
• Solid understanding of construction quality, compliance and site assurance processes.
• Familiarity with Health, Safety, Environment and Wellbeing codes and requirements.
• Commitment to high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental performance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report contractor progress to the ECC Project Manager.
• Review compliance with drawings, specifications, standards and construction documentation.
• Assess the effectiveness of planning and management during construction.
• Undertake site inspections to verify workmanship, quality and compliance.
• Promote a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture across project activities.
• Stop works where immediate risk to workers, visitors or the public is identified.
• Support effective communication between contractors, project teams and client stakeholders.
• Help ensure critical flood defence and civil infrastructure projects are delivered safely and successfully.
